As you progress in Whiteout Survival your roster of Heroes will slowly grow with the decision on who to develop becoming more and more difficult. Unfortunately, it is no easy decision and will often depend on what Generation you are in and whether or not you are a F2P Player. On top of this, each Hero has strengths and weaknesses in different parts of the game with this often being broken down into Exploration Heroes and Expedition Heroes. Keep reading as we examine this idea in more detail and reveal who, in our opinion, are the Best Exploration Heroes in Whiteout Survival.

What Are Exploration Heroes?

This Tier List of the Best Heroes in Whiteout Survival aims to help you decide which heroes you should develop for Exploration game modes. These are the activities where you just select Heroes to send and no Troops, for example, Exploration and Arena. In these game modes, a Hero’s Exploration Skills are active and this is the basis of how this tier list is formed. How This Tier List Works

As touched on in the previous section, this Tier List of the Best Heroes in Whiteout Survival is very much focused on each Hero’s Exploration Skills to determine how good they are versus the other Heroes in the game. Each of their Exploration Skills has been ranked individually against all others with this then contributing towards their overall total score. For example, we have considered how useful their skill is based on their Class. Consider an Infantry Hero, they are tanks of the battles with low Attack but high Health, they should have skills that very much lean into this role with skills purely buffing their attack having much less of an impact than it would for a Marksman Hero.

On top of this, stats such as Hero Attack, Defense, and Health have also been ranked, as well as any Weapon and any associated Exclusive Skills the Hero possesses. It should also be noted, that each new Generation of Heroes has Overall Stats that are significantly better than the previous, meaning they are always an upgrade on Heroes from the previous Generations.

Exploration Heroes Tier List

In the next section we list, who in our opinion, are the Best Exploration Heroes in Whiteout Survival. As previously mentioned, this is split out into sections for each Generation, with each new Generation having Heroes who are better than all the previous Generations. Each Generation is ranked from best to worst. Please keep in mind that this is our own opinion from playing this game since its inception and some people may disagree. Which Hero Should You Focus On?

Unless you are a Whale, it is unlikely you will be able to get every Hero that is released in each new Generation. Indeed, even as a low spender, it will be difficult to upgrade even 2 of the Heroes from each Generation due to a shortage of Skill Manuals. When deciding which Heroes to go for you need to consider several things:

• How easy are they to get Shards: For example, can they be found in shops or very accessible events such as Gina’s Revenge or the Lucky Wheel? Check out our Whiteout Survival Hero List for details on where to get every Hero in the game.
• What does your current roster look like: Think about where your weaknesses are, for example, do you have just 1 Infantry Hero on the front line of your Exploration team? Perhaps try to get another one in a future Generation. Is your lead Marksman Hero a couple of Generations out of date? Maybe it’s time for an upgrade.
• Are you a F2P Player: As discussed in our List of the Best Heroes for Free Players, your decision as a F2P player couldn’t be easier. Typically, it is recommended to just focus on getting each Generation’s Luck Wheel Hero. If you save up your Gems, it will cost about 160,000, across a couple of instances, this is very achievable. They also rotate between the different classes, meaning every 4th Generation, you will get an upgrade on one of your Heroes. Additionally, if you save up your Mythic General Hero Shards, you can decide to go after one Hero who is not a Lucky Wheel Hero, the later the generation the better.
• Are they dual purpose: The overall best Heroes are good at more than just Exploration. If you are investing so much in them, you will probably also want to use them in Expedition game modes such as PvP.
